Richard Green WITB 2025 Breakdown
Driver: TaylorMade Stealth – (10.5 degrees)
“Greenie” currently swings a 10.5-degree TaylorMade Stealth. He adjusts the driver to a lower setting, giving it 8.5 degrees of loft.
The setup is working for him this season, hitting over 83% of his fairways this season as of February 2025. We counted four TaylorMade driver adapters beside his bag, showing Green’s willingness to test different formulas during practice rounds.
3 Wood: Callaway AI Paradym Smoke Triple Diamond – (15 degrees)
One of the more modern clubs in his setup is a 15-degree Callaway AI Paradym Smoke TD. He weakens the loft by 2 degrees, giving him that added lift off the deck, but the gap between his driver and 3-wood loft is interesting, it’s double.
Fun fact: Richard Green has something in common with Phil Mickelson, Steve Flesch, Bubba Watson, and Mike Weir—he’s also a left-handed golfer.
Hybrid: Titleist 913H – (17 degrees)
I’ve heard rumors of Green digging into the shed to find old clubs to test, and it wouldn’t surprise me if the Titleist 913H was one of them.
The club belongs in a museum when you look at modern AI-powered faces, but it works for the Victorian who is playing the best golf of his life right now. On average, Green hits the Titleist 913 Hybrid 220 yards.
Fun fact: Steve Stricker has also been known to play the Titleist 913H.
Long Irons: Srixon ZX MKII Utility – (4 Iron)
The three-time European Tour bridges the gap between rescue clubs and irons with the Srixon ZX MKII Utility. He plays a 23-degree 4-iron, which is fast across the face and forgiving on those longer approach shots. It’s the most forgiving iron you’ll find in his bag because he’s one of the smoothest swingers and cleanest strikers on tour.

Mid & Short Irons: Nike Victory Red Blades – (5 – 9)
As you’ve now learned, age doesn’t matter to “Greenie.” He dug into the archives and pulled out the best irons, in my opinion, that the “Just Do It” folks ever made.
Nike released their Victory Red (VR) blades in 2010, but as you’ve now learned, age doesn’t matter to “Greenie.” He dug into the archives and pulled out what many consider the best irons the “Just Do It” folks ever made. Richard Green shared that he kept these irons in a box for years before finally putting them back in play in 2019.
A longtime fan of blades, Richard Green prefers their feel and precision, so much so that he’s having a similar custom set made. Still, he plans to keep using his current set as long as they have life left in them.
The part-time racing driver is finding his feet on approach with these irons, hitting over 70% of his greens in regulation after three events.
Wedges: Titleist Vokey SM 9 (46, 54 degrees), SM10 (50 degrees)
Back to more modern tools, Green carries three Titleist Vokey wedges in his bag.
It’s refreshing to see a classic setup with no lob wedge in the bag, the 54-degree is as high as it gets, and he still pulls off a flop shot that Seve would approve of.
We also noticed he shaves the bottom of these wedges and replaces the weight with lead tape, which provides more balance and control at impact.
Putter: Odyssey Ai-One Double Wide – (SuperStroke Zenergy Tour 1.0 Grip)
A double bend hosel gives Richard’s Odyssey Ai-One Double Wide plenty of toe hang to match the arch in his stroke. The putter is doing the trick for the Melburnian, who is in the top 20 on tour for overall putting average.
Green also has a long-time favorite, Ping Anser 2 putter from around 1984 that he likes to change things up with on occasion.
Golf Ball: Titleist Pro V1
Green’s appreciation for vintage items remains with his choice of golf ball, the 2021 Titleist Pro V1. He prefers it over the 2023 release, and the golf ball giant has agreed to make them especially for him.
