
Dan Camilli grew up in a working-class Boston neighborhood and was the first in his family to graduate from high school. He went on to earn a B.A., Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Massachusetts and graduate degrees from Harvard University and the University of Maryland at College Park. An award-winning educator and Massachusetts Teacher of the Year nominee, Dan received distinguished teaching fellowships to China and Japan, as well as a National Endowment for the Humanities grant supporting his work in history, philosophy, and world cultures.
Dan is also a writer, columnist, blogger, and creator of the podcast Nature, Sport and the Spirit, where he explored creativity and passion with artists, writers, athletes, and coaches. A self-described โworking-class kid with a ruling-class education,โ he now lives in Austin, Texas.
